Fall Eblast

Dear Jono,

We hope you’ve had a good summer and wanted to let you know of the growth and expansion of our salon staff, services & amenities.

We now have 2 backwash units to reduce waiting times for shampoos and have added 2 more additional styling stations from 4 to 6.

We have complementary WiFi and charging at every station, teas, hot chocolate and are dog friendly.

With that being said we would like to introduce to you our amazing team members at JoNo Hair!

New Talent Stylist- AMY CATHERSIDES:

Originally hailing from the UK, Amy swapped the rolling hills of England for the big mountains of BC. After following her love for snowboarding, Amy craved a new challenge; graduating from the Aveda Advanced Academy in Vancouver in 2014, she has immersed herself in her passion for hair as a creative outlet. Whilst she may be new talent, Amy loves to be challenged and wants to grow alongside her guests – working with them to create stunning looks working in perfect flow with their varying lifestyles and is inspired daily by the beauty and people around her.

Master Stylist- RENEE AFRICA

Renee is a highly educated hairstylist and barber who is new to Whistler but not to hairdressing with 28 years in the industry. She has recently relocated from California where she still works for Unite as a Senior Art Director traveling the US, Canada and Europe as a platform artist and educator. Renee was Classically trained in a Sassoon environment when young and has sought out intense additional training in Europe as well as the US over the years and brings a multifaceted approach with her from California.

Renee is proud to offer a full range of services for men and women including: cutting, coloring, texture services, styling and special occasion styling off site.

Master Stylist & Makeup Artist- MELISSA JONES

Melissa brings both passion and creativity to her craft. With 14 years experience working in the fashion and film industry as a hair and make up artist, she has keyed such productions as the 2009 Mr. Gay World, ZDF National News Broadcast during the 2010 Olympics, and won multiple awards for her work on the Whistler Exposed Calendars.

Melissa believes in continual education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field with her knowledge of new products, fashion trends, and service available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele. She specializes in cutting edge coloring techniques, color correction, gray reduction, precision cutting, and styling, for any occasion, wedding, evening or party hair.

Melissa places high value on listening to her clients, creating looks to compliment their face shape and enhance the skin tone through color while understanding their needs and respecting their hair. She strives on creating an individual style for wide range of clientele.

Nancy has been in the hair industry for over 20 years .

Successfully owning her own salon for the past 10yrs and now her life has brought her to Whistler !

She brings us her passion for hair and continual love for education !

Just finishing the KMS IQ Advanced Cutting
Class with all the new and latest cutting techniques .

Nancy has the advanced education in creative and advanced colouring techniques, and has used the Goldwell coloration system for 20 yrs.
Also specializing in Whistler wedding services on location or in the salon !

JOAN NOVAK

Joan is the salon owner, colourist & hairstylist.

She has colored the locks of many Hollywood actresses, musicans & worked backstage for NY Fashion Week.

She is a North American Guest Artist for Goldwell. This enables her to share some of her 28 years of haircoloring experience with other salon professionals all over the country!
